A gem was he; most precious gem of all gems was he
Now a gem garland, he gleams on Ma Abhirami.
She has kept to herself this prized jewel treasured ,
Leaving us his memories to wade our life through.
The flash of his genial smile and his earnest whole,
Glow in our heart, an ethereal melody to our soul.
He won our hearts, through his endearing ways,
Eternally green his grace in our memories stay,
We hold them on miserly, no farewell we dare say.

A doctor to his patients with his healing touch,
Beholden they are, he was within everyone’s reach,
They anguish that the magical touch is now absent,
They languish their the saving touch is extinct,
Their hopes of life and health depended so much,
Saved and sustained on his godly tender touch,
That did wonders than what drugs could vouch,
Helpless they feel, as they yearn his touch divine,
Their loss is beyond we could define and divine.

He touched us deeply though distant and remote,
Our depth of feelings and gratitude, nobody’d know,
Even today, we lapse at times looking for him,
Straining hard over phone, to listen to his voice
To comfort our writhing soul, to rid of our fears;
Soon we’ll be blown away like autumn leaves,
By the relentless wind of time, traceless unknown,
Before dementia blurs our senses and we’re gone
We record our gratitude for all that he was, we pray,
His grace linger green in our thoughts and ways.
